Adding a record in Go Daddy

If you have registered your domain name using Go Daddy this guide will show you how to point your domain to Pixel Together. The following steps should be done after adding your domains into your website settings in Pixel Together.

 

Step 1 - Login to Go Daddy

Login to Go Daddy and you will arrive at the Dashboard. From here you will see

Step 2 - Get Pixel Together IP address

Go to your Pixel Together website and go to 'Website Settings' at the top of the page. 

Scroll down to the 'Domains' section and enter your new domain name to retrieve your new IP address. 

Copy this IP address to enter into your Go Daddy account.

Step 3 - Update DNS A-Record

You will be looking at the Domain Details on the Settings Tab. 

Scroll down to the A-Records which displays as A (Host).

You should have a single A-Record which points to a Go Daddy IP. Click on the pencil icon to edit this article.

This will display a popup and in the field 'Points to' you will want to paste in the Pixel Together IP Address. 

Lastly click 'Save' and the popup will close.

Step 4 - Wait

Once done you will need to wait. It can propagate immediately, but in some cases it can take up to 24 hours. Check by visiting your domain name to look for changes.
